Move-Out Cleaning Checklist

A move-out cleaning is a comprehensive cleaning service performed when a tenant or homeowner is preparing to leave a property. The goal is to restore the home to a clean, move-in-ready condition for the next occupant.

Stovetop – grates, burners, drip pan

Oven Exterior - Sides scrubbed and floor underneath swept/mopped

Hood Vent – Exterior, Filter

Refrigerator Exterior – Tops, Sides, Door Seal, Floor underneath swept/mopped

Dishwasher – Exterior

Microwave – Interior, Exterior, Turntable

Cabinet/Drawer Exteriors – Handles and Face Front

Countertops – Full surface and backsplash

Sink – Basin, Faucet

Walls – Splatters removed (if possible)

Floor – Swept and mopped

Toilet – bowl, seat, base, tank exterior

Shower/Tub – walls, tiles, floor, glass doors

Vanity Sink – basin, faucet, under-sink

Mirror – full surface

Exhaust fan cover – Dusted and cleaned

Cabinet Exteriors – Handles & Face Fronts

Light fixtures - dusted

Floor – swept/mopped

Baseboards – Scrubbed and wiped

Door and door frame – wiped both sides

Ceiling Fans - blades dusted and wiped

Walls - scuffs removed (if possible)

Closets - Shelves, rod, baseboards, floors

Doors and door frames - dusted and wiped

Light fixtures - dusted

Floor - vacuumed/mopped

Windows Interiors – glass and frames

Windowsills – wiped inside and out

Ceiling fans – blades dusted and wiped

Vents – dusted and cleaned

Light fixtures - dusted

All baseboards – full perimeter wipe

Doors and door frames

Switch plates and outlet covers

Closet Interiors – shelves, rod, floors

Cabinets (if applicable) – handles and face fronts

Walls – scuffs/marks removed (if possible)

Floors – Vacuumed/Mopped

1. Oven Interior Cleaning

• Grease Cutting: Dissolves baked-on fat and tough carbon crusts.
• Glass Clarity: Clears cloudy windows to easily see inside.
• Smoke Prevention: Removes burnt residue that causes smoking odors.

2. Refrigerator Interior Disinfection

• Total Washdown: Wipes all shelves, drawers, and walls clean.
• Sticky Mess Removal: Cleans sticky syrup, juice, and food spills.
• Sanitization: Kills bacteria lurking in dark, damp corners.

3. Cabinet/Drawer Interior

• Shop Vac & Wipe shelves to remove crumbs/debris
• Shop Vac & Wipe inside drawers to remove crumbs/debris

4. Carpet Shampoo

• Window Tracks Cleaning 
• Interior cleaning of washer/dryer
• Buffing/stripping floors
• Garages, unfinished basements, crawl spaces, or attics cleaning

B.A.Y. Family Cleaning currently services residential homes with 1–3 bedrooms only. Quotes are based on the actual size of the home. We do not offer partial-home or individual room cleaning services. If the home's size differs from the information provided or falls outside our scope of service, B.A.Y. Family Cleaning reserves the right to revise the quote or cancel the appointment at our discretion.

For the safety of our staff and clients, B.A.Y. Family Cleaning does not provide cleaning services in homes with active pest infestations, including but not limited to roaches, mice, fleas, bedbugs, or similar pests. If evidence of an infestation is discovered upon arrival or during service, we reserve the right to immediately discontinue and terminate the cleaning appointment. Any applicable cancellation or service fees may still apply.
